Privacy policy: Fartguitar for Android

This policy covers the Fartguitar Android app (package com.fartguitar.app), published on Google Play by Inkway. The website fartguitar.com has its own privacy policy.

Summary

The app has no account, no ads, no analytics and no server. It does not collect, share or sell personal data. Everything it stores stays on your phone.

Microphone

The tuner and vocal range tools ask for microphone permission only when you start them. Sound is analysed on your phone as you play or sing, and it is never recorded, saved or sent anywhere. The microphone switches off when you leave those screens.

In Songwriting, a hum memo records only while you are recording. The memo is saved in the app's storage on your phone and is never uploaded. You can play, share or delete each memo.

What the app stores on your phone

Practice settings and history, ear-training scores, favourite chords, saved vocal ranges, your practice streak, songs, lyrics, voice memos and your settings. Uninstalling the app or clearing its storage deletes them. Reset app data in Settings deletes everything except your songs, memos and saved strum patterns.

Notifications and vibration

If you turn on a practice reminder, the app schedules a local notification on your phone. Vibration is used only to signal that a string is in tune, and only if you leave that setting on.

Sharing

When you share a vocal range card, a song backup, a chord sheet, a voice memo or practice history, Android's share sheet sends the file only to the app you choose.

Payments

The app is a one-time purchase handled entirely by Google Play. Inkway never sees your payment details; Google's privacy policy covers the purchase.

Children

The app is not directed at children and collects no personal data from anyone.

Changes and contact

If this policy changes, the new version will appear on this page with a new date. For any privacy question, email [email protected].
